About BPS
Our Mission
The mission of Black Psychoanalysts Speak, a group of Black psychoanalysts and other psychoanalysts who seek to help, is twofold: to enable the voices and ideas of Black psychoanalysts to be heard, in psychoanalysis and in the wider world, and to draw attention, within psychoanalysis and its related clinical and scholarly fields, to the concerns of Black people.
Our Strategy
BPS seeks to fulfill its mission through the creation of clinical and scholarly conferences, consultation with organizations and individuals, mentoring of early-career black psychoanalysts and other mental health professionals, and dissemination of written, filmic and other materials designed to reach as many psychoanalysts, psychotherapists and concerned others as possible.
